The University of Rwanda (UR) Huye Campus volleyball team finished as runners-up in the Varsity League Volleyball Championship after losing 3–2 to East Africa Christian College (EACC) in the final.
The final was played on 28 June 2026 at Gisagara Gymnasium in Gisagara District. The match was closely contested from the first set to the last. After falling behind, UR Huye fought back to level the score at 2–2, forcing a deciding fifth set. East Africa Christian College won the final set to claim the championship.
UR Huye reached the final after defeating UR Nyarugenge Campus 3–1 in the semifinal.
The Varsity League Volleyball Championship brings together university teams from higher learning institutions across Rwanda, providing student-athletes with an opportunity to compete and develop their volleyball skills.
Although UR Huye missed the title, finishing second marks a strong performance and reflects the team's hard work throughout the competition.
